Livery Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are there any places at the Livery?
A: Please ring us to check availability.

Q: How much do you charge?
A: We currently charge £170 pcm which includes haylage, all year round turnout, individual paddocks, use of the manege and off road farm ride. All horses are on shavings which are an extra cost and can be supplied by us. Horse box/trailer parking is £10 pcm extra.

Q: Do you offer part/full livery?
A: No, we are a fully DIY yard, but our liveries tend to buddy up to help each other when needed for holidays etc. However, one of us is always here to make sure a horse is not left out alone stressing.

Q: Do you worm horses regularly?
A:
We are in a worming programme, and only need to worm depending on the results of regular worm counts.

Q: Are you secure?
A: We are on-site all the time and check all horses throughout the day and late evening. We have CCTV with time lapse recording and the gates to the farm are automatic with remote access keypads or push button and are automatically locked every night. There is also security lighting and motion sensing detectors.

Q: Do you have toilets?
A: Yes. They are situated in our heated tack room. The tack room is fully secure and has a sink, kettle, fridge and a washing machine for rugs and numnahs etc. at a small extra cost of £2 per wash. There is also outdoor seating to sit and enjoy a coffee.

Q: How big is the Manege?
A: The manege is 40×30 metres and is a sand and rubber mix. It has flood lights, seating, training mirrors, dressage markers and a full course of jumps to compliment everybody’s discipline.

Q: Can we bring our own hay?
A:
No, we supply good quality haylage which is suitable for all ages of horses and the workload they’re doing without making them fizzy. Unfortunately we do not have space for individuals to keep their own hay in the sheds.

Q: Do you offer lessons?
A: No however, our liveries are welcome to invite their own trainers for lessons if they wish to do so.

Q: Are you all friendly?
A: I would like to think that we are a friendly yard. We try to accommodate every request and help when we can.

Q: Will my horse be turned out with other horses?
A: No, all paddocks are fenced off individually with electric fencing with their own water supply. However, if you have two horses you would like in a paddock together then we can accommodate this. All paddocks are to be poo picked daily by the horse owner.
